Role:
  GS&P will develop integrated strategies and implementation metrics for land use, transportation, and infrastructure issues and also will assist the project team in developing alternative scenarios for future regional growth. Its fully-staffed office in Knoxville will be the local base of operations for the PlanET consultant team.

Role:
CREC will help PlanET understand economic forces impacting the East Tennessee region, identify assets for development, prioritize issues that must be overcome, and create economic and workforce development strategies and implementation metrics.

A. Coulter Consulting is a Chattanooga-based firm that specializes in creating and managing citizen and stakeholder input processes. A. Coulter Consulting has worked on several master planning projects in Knoxville, including the South Waterfront plan, and will bring its knowledge of local conditions and issues to PlanET.

Role:
A. Coulter Consulting will help the consultant team develop targeted outreach and implementation strategies, and also will facilitate several PlanET Working Groups.

CNT is well-known for its Housing and Transportation (H + T) Affordability Index and its work in planning for “cargo-oriented development” near freight rail lines.

Role:
CNT will help the PlanET team create and evaluate alternative growth scenarios and also will develop land use, housing, and infrastructure strategies and implementation metrics.

The Center for Governmental Research is a leading provider of strategic management consulting to municipal, educational, nonprofit and business clients. The 98-year old nonprofit organization specializes in the areas of government management, economics & public finance, education, and health & human services.

Role:
CGR will assist in the development of a community indicator website giving local organizations and residents ready access to data, providing a common foundation to assess how well a community is doing and to track progress over time. CGR will develop new website features, including a Community Dashboard displaying data for key indicators at a glance. In addition, CGR will assist PlanET in facilitating stakeholder discussions regarding future plans to expand and sustain the project..
